What is the correct awning size for my vehicle? Ground to ground awning measurements for Elddis, Compass, Xplore and Buccaneer models can be found by looking in the latest model section, the Product Archive section on our website or by referring to the relevant Technical Specification section of your handbook. However, if that information cannot be found then we would suggest that the physical measurement should be obtained by threading a piece of string through the awning channel from ground to ground, and then by measuring the string. Your awning manufacturer will then advise on the nearest size of awning appropriate for your measurement. All of our retailers should be able to offer you help and advice in choosing the right awning for your caravan or motorhome. If it is possible your Retailer will be able to advise you, or alternatively they will obtain confirmation and a drawing where necessary, from us. My question to you Jon is how can I tell for sure if Mom’s home is v and if so, what can we do to replace her baseboard heaters if all they sell are v appliances? If you are not sure about what you are doing, have a licensed professional in to do the job.

I am thoroughly impressed with your willingness to share your ideas and thoughts about this with me. I have learned a lot about this issue since I started with this a few days ago. I will answer your questions, then will give you the final chapter. I sketched a couple of diagrams to show my setup. There is an old one, which shows the original installation, and a new one that shows how it is now after the electrician finished. There was a single pole 20A breaker for the hot water heater.
The wire between that breaker and the HWH is 12 ga.
Calculating How Big Your Battery Needs To Be
I could NOT convince him with an otherwise completely stuffed panel–that this is not the way to do things. It actually was, as I remember, closer to V in this case. In our shop, supplied with “wild leg” 3 phase, we added an extension outlet for the V single phase Sears buzzbox welder.

If you have a Camper trailer, Caravan or other RV and you like to spend time away from a volt power source, this article will give you some answers that the sales people avoid. It will allow you to estimate the size and number of batteries that will suit your camping. As always there is a little explanation required to ensure that we are at the same starting point. The aim is not to make it complicated, but to explain it so it makes sense. A blank calculation sheet can be downloaded from the end of this article, however we recommend you spend a few minutes reading why and how it works.

Super Kingsize bed at the front, 2 singles at the rear or they open up as 2 x bunks with steel frames or can be made up as a king size bed, fantastic. There is an inverter fitted that changes 12v to v to allow electrical appliances to be used when not on an electrical hook up site. Very handy for hitching up by yourself or squeezing your caravan into tight spots.
The caravans front locker can store 2 large gas bottles at a time whilst still having plenty of room for the spare wheel plus other essentials. There is a dual action electric extract fan, triple speed, fitted above the kitchen area, this can also be set to draw in cool air There is a laminated floor covering throughout the caravan including the toilet area. We also have a full set of fitted carpets that are included in the sale.
Last year we had the caravans high level towing lights, front and rear changed for LED, these are complete units not just a bulb replaced, they look great when towing at night and add to the vehicles visibility. The toilet system has an electric flush. The caravan is also fitted with a luxury, wet, central heating system including a heated towel rail in the bathroom and radiators fitted through out the caravan, this works with gas, electric or both and is superb, it also heats the water.
The system is controlled via a panel complete with an electrical thermostat and when running at night is virtually silent.

If you know your way around electricity [insert major disclaimer here], you can get VAC by using two outlets, provided they’re on opposite sides of the service panel. If you know what I’m talking about, then you can probably do it. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then purge the entire first part of this post from your memory permanently except the warning about gas. Actually, ignore the whole thing because I have nothing else to add. I used a V W heat stick for a little while and found that it could bring 5 gal up to a boil at the same speed as my old bayou burner.
There are some people that say you shouldn’t use V elements in brewing because of the density which will scorch your wort, but I have never had this problem with the heat stick or running my RIMS systems which I have a V W high density element.

Living in a caravan full time, what to do and how to do it, or rather, how I am doing it. Which may well be completely wrong! We will find out!! In no order, just as I think of them. Your caravan or motor-home normally has two different ways of getting electrical power, either from it’s on board batteries, or by plugging into the mains on site.
To plug into the mains on site you are required to have a special cable, commonly known as a hook up cable, or EHU cable. These are normally bright orange in colour with special plugs either end. You cant just use a 3 pin plug electrical extension reel! Then if one fails, or becomes damaged you will always have power, not only that but you cant always be sure of getting close to a hook up point!

Wantage Oxon Hi all, can any of you electrical experts on the forum advise me if it is possible to wire my w inverter to the main sockets when not on hook up, Posted: Inverter power to mains v sockets Posts: Lincoln we have simply plugged a multiple extension into our inverter and attached to the wall. Have to run an extension lead for the microwave as too far away and keep a check on total wattage used at once Posted: When you connect to a EHU the contactor will change over and the sockets will be fed from the mains with EHU disconnected the sockets will be fed from the inverter.
Any electrician should be able to do for you. Kingdom of Fife Kontiki As you have indicated you are not going to use it when on hook up so forget fitting relays. Topic has recently been done to death but the simplest and safest way is to make up a short hook up cable and change the 16A plug to a 13A plug to plug into your inverter’s output. You are aware that when an inverter is switch on it still uses current even although you may not be using volts.
How do i hook up a 240v to a fuse panel?
There are two main ways you can power electrical devices on the campsite. The first is to use a leisure battery, which is like a car battery and provides a 12V supply, and the second is an electric hook-up, which provides a V supply as you would find at home. To find more about charging leisure batteries see our Battery Charging Data Sheet. Your own power pack A leisure battery is a great way to provide electricity when you are away from a mains connection.

Surges of volts or more are directed to ground by the lightning arrestor. Although the arrestor may or may not take repeated surges, no arrestor can withstand a direct lightning strike or a surge of unusually high voltage. Both the pressure switch and control box Note: Pressure switch arrestor location offers the best water system protection, if only one lightning arrestor is used. It is very important that all electrical work be done properly.
Therefore, only a qualified electrician or electrical service man should perform the initial hook-up and any electrical service thereafter! All local electrical codes must be followed.
